BizNix is your Safe Harbor
Founded in 1999, BizNix is a non-profit support group for computer users and non-IT business professionals. Our mission is to help you use your computer safely, efficiently, and economically. We publish articles and videos and hold periodic events with lectures and demonstrations. These are often conducted by experts in their field - most have decades of experience. Some are authors. Many have worked with multiple types of computer systems and software.
Most articles, videos, and lectures are focused on the computer user experience and the impact on a company's business. We strive to keep it simple and easy to grasp. When that's not possible because the subject is technical, we try to be gentle.
Our Name
The name BizNix is a conjunction of Business and UNIX. UNIX (pronounced "you nicks") represents cutting-edge computer technology and, more importantly, cutting-edge thinking. It offers greater security, functionality, and much lower cost than the computer systems and support people you're probably using now.
